By using heuristic as well as user assessment, usability for a unique multi-media, multi-user product was evaluated providing key feedback for design improvements, next generation considerations, and readiness for launch to executive management.

the approach: A heuristic analysis was completed on a unique multi-media device for ease of use, nomenclature, and work flow. In addition, a usability study was conducted using a prototype product to evaluate specific user tasks to determine usability and overall satisfaction.
the results: Executive management was provided with key feedback for design improvements and next generation considerations, as well as product readiness for launch. Design recommendations were made based on priority in an effort to improve the product before going to market.
